Temporary Purchase Ledger Clerk

Your Consultant

We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a busy finance team based in Poole. This is a great opportunity for someone with some accounts experience, or someone looking to build a career in finance, to gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing a high volume of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently 
  • Matching, batching, and coding invoices 
  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies 
  • Assisting with payment runs 
  • Handling supplier queries in a timely and professional manner 
  • Supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc duties 

About You:

  • Previous experience within a finance or accounts role is desirable, but not essential 
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy 
  • Good organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines 
  • Basic Excel skills and confidence using systems 
  • A positive, proactive approach and willingness to learn 

This role would suit someone immediately available or able to start at short notice. It’s an ideal opportunity to gain valuable finance experience within a friendly and fast-paced team.
