About the Role:
As an Senior Accountant, you will take ownership of a diverse portfolio of clients, acting almost as the clients trusted Financial Controller. You’ll play a pivotal role in helping them achieve their corporate objectives and growth aspirations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing monthly and annual financial reports, analysing results, identifying trends, and forecasting performance.
- Managing cash flow and producing weekly reports to ensure financial stability.
- Ensuring accuracy and excellence in financial reporting while streamlining processes for efficiency.
- Advising clients, responding to queries, and providing proactive financial insights.
- Leading and mentoring junior team members, fostering a culture of development and excellence.
- Collaborating with external auditors, ensuring compliance, and providing necessary documentation and support.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have:
- A recent ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification (or equivalent experience in practice or industry) and a readiness to take on an exciting new challenge.
- A deep understanding of VAT regulations and significant experience in preparing VAT returns.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset, with a willingness to challenge the status quo to drive improvements.
