We’re working with a friendly, well-established accountancy practice in Bournemouth that’s looking to bring a Senior Accountant into their growing team. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a supportive firm with a great culture, where hard work and commitment are genuinely recognised and rewarded.
You’ll be part of a small, close-knit team that prides itself on building long-term relationships with clients and supporting each other along the way. The practice offers flexibility, modern systems, and the chance to work with a varied portfolio of clients across different sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a portfolio of SMEs, limited companies and partnerships.
- Preparing year-end statutory accounts and personal tax returns.
- Preparing and reviewing VAT returns and handling HMRC queries.
- Supporting and mentoring junior colleagues where needed.
- Reviewing work, resolving queries, and strengthening client relationships.
- Getting involved in wider practice projects as the firm continues to grow.
What we’re looking for:
- ACCA part-qualified / finalist or Qualified by Experience with solid practice experience.
- At least 3 years’ experience in an accountancy practice.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks).
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ambition to grow with the firm.
