Talent Finance are supporting a growing distribution and FMCG business that is strengthening its finance function with the hire of a Reporting Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone part-qualified or newly qualified who wants to develop their skills in a broad, commercially focused role.
As Reporting Accountant, you’ll report into the Finance Manager and work closely with the wider business, supporting both day-to-day reporting and longer-term decision-making. What you’ll be doing:
- Take ownership of weekly, monthly, and quarterly management reporting.
- Deliver clear analysis and insight to support the senior leadership team.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and board-level reporting.
- Partner with the business on pricing, tenders and commercial projects.
- Contribute to year-end reporting, financial controls, and process improvements.
- Assist in preparing statutory accounts and liaising with auditors.
- Play a role in ad-hoc projects and financial initiatives as the business grows.
About you:
- Part-qualified or newly qualified ACCA, CIMA, or ACA (or equivalent).
- Strong analytical and technical reporting skills, with a sharp eye for detail.
- Able to interpret data and turn it into meaningful insight.
- Confident communicator — comfortable engaging with non-finance colleagues.
- Ambitious and proactive, keen to take ownership and grow within a dynamic environment.
- Experience within distribution, FMCG, or fast-paced sectors would be highly beneficial.
