Part-Time Credit Control & Sales Ledger Assistant

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established International growing business seeking an experienced Credit Control & Sales Ledger professional to support their finance function on a part-time basis.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking for flexible working hours, with onsite attendance required during working time. The role would particularly suit someone balancing other commitments as there is openness around how hours are structured.
Location: Easily commutable from Bournemouth and Poole.
Hours: 16–20 hours per week (with flexibility)
Pay: Up to £20 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract: Temporary or Fixed-Term initially, with potential to move to permanent
The Role
You will take ownership of core credit control and sales ledger activities, ensuring smooth cash flow and strong customer relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
- Sales ledger administration
- Credit control across a customer base
- Proactive debt collection
- Managing and maintaining customer relationships
- Liaising with external collection partners in the EU
- Using automated credit-chasing systems effectively
Systems
- Sage 200 – essential
- Automated credit control processes already in place
About You
- Proven experience in credit control and sales ledger roles
- Confident working independently in a small finance team
- Strong communication skills, including international liaison
- Comfortable working onsite and managing a flexible schedule
Contract Details
- Initially offered on a temporary or fixed-term basis
- Strong potential to transition into a permanent role after a qualifying period
- Hours may evolve (approximately 16–25 per week), offering longer-term flexibility
