Talent Finance are recruiting a Permanent Operations Manager to lead a busy, fast-paced site operation following a period of stabilisation and improvement.
This is a hands-on leadership role with real scope to embed structure, strengthen performance and develop teams, ensuring operational changes are fully adopted and sustained. You’ll play a key role in building a consistent, scalable operating model with a strong focus on efficiency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day site operations, ensuring safe, efficient and consistent delivery
- Embed operational structure, governance and accountability
- Drive performance against KPIs using data-led insight
- Ensure SOPs, processes and controls are fully embedded and continuously improved
- Lead efficiency, cost control and waste reduction initiatives
- Develop and coach the operational leadership team
- Maintain alignment between operations, ERP and core business systems
- Partner closely with finance, commercial and senior stakeholders
- Build a culture of ownership, accountability and continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality and health & safety standards
About you
You’ll bring strong end-to-end operational leadership experience from a complex production, distribution or FMCG setting, with a track record of delivering consistency and performance at pace.
You’ll bring
- Strong experience running complex, fast-paced operations
- A practical approach to embedding structure and improving consistency
- Confidence driving performance through KPIs, data and process
- Experience leading through systems and operational change (including ERP environments)
- A visible, people-first leadership style with strong accountability and ownership
- If you’ve led transformation, site improvement or operational change programmes before, this could be a brilliant fit.
