Interim Group Financial Accountant | Year End & Audit

Talent Finance are working with an established international business in Poole that is looking for a technically strong Interim Group Financial Accountant to support the finance team through a key year end and audit period.
This is a hands on assignment within a group finance function and would suit someone who is comfortable coming into a business, quickly getting to grips with the numbers and taking ownership of technically detailed year end work.
The focus will be around year end reporting, FRS 102 and providing high quality support throughout the external audit process.
The assignment will include:
• Supporting the preparation of year end statutory accounts under FRS 102
• Working across group reporting and consolidation activities
• Preparing and reviewing year end schedules, reconciliations and supporting documentation
• Supporting the external audit and responding confidently to auditor queries
• Working through technical accounting matters and ensuring appropriate treatment under UK GAAP
• Supporting the wider finance team to deliver an accurate and well controlled year end
• Identifying and resolving issues quickly as they arise
What we’re looking for
You’ll be an experienced, technically capable finance professional who has worked through complex year ends and audits before.
ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification would be ideal, alongside strong FRS 102 knowledge and experience within a group environment.
You’ll need to be comfortable operating at pace, working autonomously and getting into the detail when required. Previous experience within a multi entity or international group would be particularly useful.
This is a 3 to 4 month interim assignment with an immediate or relatively quick start preferred.
What’s on offer
Rate: £350 to £450 per day
Location: Poole
Contract: Interim, 3 to 4 months
Working pattern: Approximately 2 to 4 days onsite each week, depending on the requirements of the assignment
