We’re working with a well-established and ambitious FMCG and distribution business, who are going through an exciting phase of growth and transformation. They’re now looking for a Head of Sales to join their senior leadership team and take ownership of the sales function at a pivotal stage.
This is a newly created, high-impact role where you’ll work closely with the Sales & Marketing Director to design and deliver a comprehensive sales strategy, driving growth, building strong client partnerships, and leading a high-performing team.
What you’ll be doing:
- Shape and deliver the sales strategy, aligning with wider business growth objectives.
- Lead, mentor and inspire a team of sales professionals, setting clear KPIs and driving accountability.
- Identify and secure new opportunities – from expanding key accounts to opening new distribution channels.
- Use data and insight to refine strategy, forecast sales, and track performance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and operations teams to maximise success.
- Represent the business externally, building strong relationships at industry events and with key stakeholders.
- Oversee sales operations, pipeline management, CRM optimisation, and pricing strategy.
- Drive customer acquisition, retention, and revenue diversification.
About you:
- Proven track record in sales leadership and strategy, with a history of achieving revenue targets.
- Strong B2B experience, ideally in distribution, supply chain, manufacturing or service-led sectors.
- Excellent leadership skills – able to coach, motivate and build a high-performing sales team.
- Commercially sharp, analytical, and able to turn insight into action.
- Skilled in relationship management, negotiation, and enterprise-level deal structuring.
- A strategic thinker with the drive to deliver results and the vision to transform sales performance.
