Talent Finance are working exclusively with a well-established and growing Dorset based group of businesses to recruit a Finance Manager into a newly created role.
Reporting into a Divisional Finance Director, this is a broad, hands-on position that would suit a finalist, or qualified accountant looking to step into a Finance Manager role with real ownership, visibility, and development potential.
This role offers the opportunity to take responsibility for end-to-end management accounts, forecasting, budgeting, and financial insight, while working closely with operational and senior stakeholders across the business.
The role
- Ownership of monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
- Month end close, journals, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations
- Variance analysis against budget and forecast with clear, commercial commentary
- Preparation of forecasts, budgets, and reforecasts
- Cash flow, working capital, and balance sheet management
- Payroll oversight and reconciliation, working closely with HR and external providers
- Supporting audit preparation and statutory reporting
- Driving improvements to controls, processes, and reporting as the business continues to grow
- Partnering with non-finance stakeholders to support performance and decision making
About you
- Finalist, or fully Qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong experience producing end to end management accounts
- Confident with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Comfortable working with payroll or payroll accounting
- Strong Excel skills and a practical, hands on approach
- Able to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues
- Organised, proactive, and keen to develop within a growing finance team
- Experience within a FMCG or fast paced services, engineering, construction, or facilities environment would be beneficial, as would exposure to a group or multi entity structure.
