Salary: £90,000–£120,000 (pro rata depending on 3 or 4 days per week) + Benefits
Talent Finance are delighted to be partnering exclusively on the appointment of a part-time Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a growing, innovative, and values-led organisation.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director and sitting on the Executive Board, this is a high-impact role for a strategic finance leader who wants to shape the future of the Finance function and play a pivotal role in delivering the company’s long-term vision.
The CFO will bring senior expertise and a clear understanding of what a high-performing finance function looks like, embedding best-in-class systems, processes, and controls to ensure efficiency, compliance, and agility. Alongside this, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to the MD, Board, and business owners, providing strategic insight on investment, funding, cash management, and cost optimisation.
A key aspect of the role is coaching and mentoring the Head of Finance, strengthening leadership capability, and embedding a sustainable, high-performance culture across the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver the finance strategy in alignment with group objectives
- Provide financial analysis, insights, and scenario planning to support investment and growth decisions
- Lead the next stage of finance function development, embedding best practice systems, processes, and governance
- Oversee statutory compliance, tax, risk management, and regulatory requirements
- Partner with operational and commercial leaders to ensure finance supports delivery of business goals
- Mentor and support the Head of Finance, building leadership strength and capability
About You:
- Significant senior finance leadership experience as a CFO, Finance Director, or equivalent
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Proven success in developing high-performing finance functions and embedding best practice
- Strong commercial acumen, with expertise in strategy, investment, funding, and cash management
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and influencing skills, with the ability to inspire confidence at Board level
- Hands-on and adaptable, with the ability to deliver impact in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment
