Talent Finance is supporting a fantastic firm of chartered accountants in Poole with the appointment of an Accounts & Audit Senior.This is a genuinely lovely firm to join: relaxed, friendly, strong staff retention, excellent training and a supportive, social culture. The role is broad and flexible, with the remit shaped around the individual, their experience and their long-term aspirations.You’ll work across accounts, audit and tax, with audit making up roughly 20% of the role. Clients are primarily owner-managed businesses ranging from c.£10m to £50m turnover, offering great variety and exposure.The RoleReporting to the Accounts & Audit Manager, you will:
- Support a varied portfolio of OMB clients.
- Review year-end accounts prepared by junior team members.
- Prepare more complex sets of year-end accounts.
- Lead audits from planning through to completion.
- Provide accounting and tax support to clients as appropriate.
- Host pre-audit and post-audit meetings with clients.
- Assist in managing a team of qualified and part-qualified accountants.
- Mentor colleagues, review work and promote high-quality delivery.
- Contribute to team development through training, coaching and support.
- Help retain and grow the client portfolio by building strong relationships.
About You
- ACA / ACCA qualified or part-qualified.
- 2+ years’ experience within an accountancy practice.
- Strong background in year-end accounts preparation.
- Audit experience, ideally including leading audits.
- Highly organised with strong communication skills.
- Able to work collaboratively and support junior team members.
