Talent Finance are supporting a fantastic, people-focused accountancy firm with multiple office locations across Southampton and Poole on their search for an Accounts & Audit Senior.This opportunity suits someone confident preparing accounts, leading audit work, supporting junior team members, and taking early ownership of client relationships, while continuing to build both technical and commercial expertise.What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing year-end accounts for a varied portfolio of clients.
- Taking a lead role on audit planning, fieldwork and completion.
- Carrying out substantive and analytical procedures at client premises and remotely.
- Drafting statutory financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Identifying technical, compliance or risk areas and escalating where needed.
- Working collaboratively with managers and partners on client queries.
- Supporting and developing junior team members through on-the-job guidance and review.
- Building strong, trusted client relationships and ensuring high-quality delivery.
What You’ll Bring
- ACA / ACCA qualified or part-qualified (or equivalent).
- Solid experience in both accounts preparation and audit within practice.
- Good working knowledge of UK GAAP; IFRS experience useful but not essential.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to take ownership of assignments.
- Confident communication skills with a collaborative approach.
- Experience reviewing junior work and supporting team development.
