Accounts Assistant
Your Consultant
An established, fast-paced international business is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join its finance team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a mixed Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable role within a high-volume, multi-currency environment.
Working closely with the finance team, you’ll support the day-to-day processing of purchase and sales invoices, staff expenses, and payment runs, while helping ensure accurate and timely financial operations during a period of growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing high volumes of purchase and sales invoices accurately and on time
- Managing staff expense claims in line with internal policies and approval processes
- Supporting multi-currency payment runs and supplier statement reconciliations
- Credit control activities, including allocating payments and chasing outstanding debt
- Handling invoice and expense queries with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
- Processing company credit card transactions
- Setting up new customer and supplier accounts, including credit checks where required
- Assisting with month-end activities, including journals and ad-hoc finance tasks
- Providing cover and support to other team members as needed
About You
- Previous experience in a multi-currency accounts role
- Comfortable working across both AP and AR
- Experience within a multi-entity environment
- Good understanding of VAT and correct tax coding
- Strong Excel and Office 365 skills
- Experience with an ERP system and expense software is beneficial but not essential
- Well organised, adaptable, and able to manage changing priorities
- Confident communicator, both written and verbal
- AAT qualification preferred but not essential

- £30k Pro Rata
