Senior Technical Accountant

Talent Finance are currently partnering with a very well-known Retail giant in Hertfordshire in their search for a Senior Technical Accountant. This is an initial 14-month contract to cover Parental leave however, there will likely be other permanent opportunities arise to move into at the end of the contract.
You will report into the Head of Technical Accounting working as part of an extremely knowledgeable and experienced team who provide technical accounting advice across all areas of the business. There will also be opportunities to be heavily involved in very complex and interesting transactions.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Impact assessment of new accounting standards
- Improving technical accounting policies and procedures
- Preparing accounting papers for a multitude of transactions
- Working on and advising across year-end and interim accounts.
To be considered for the role you will need to be a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) and it is likely you will have Audit / Assurance experience from a well-established Accounting firm. You will have very strong IFRS / technical accounting knowledge and experience.
